Auxier Gas' Pink Truck Added Touch of Pink to Reds' Opening Day Parade
BATAVIA, Ohio - April 6, 2010 - Auxier Gas' pink delivery truck added a splash
of pink to the city's Opening Day Parade Monday. The pink truck, designed to support breast cancer,
donates a portion of its profits to the American Breast Cancer Foundation. Thanks to the dollars
raised thus far for breast cancer research, a future breast cancer survivor and a daughter of a
survivor were able to march alongside members of the Auxier Gas team in celebration of life while
cheering for our hometown heroes, the Cincinnati Reds.
"We are honored to once again take part in such a wonderful Cincinnati tradition," said President
Doug Auxier. "Auxier Gas is proud to offer our survivor friends the opportunity to enjoy this
special day in Cincinnati. We look forward to our pink truck participating in the parade for
years to come." To date, the pink truck has delivered more than 1.2 million gallons of propane
to customers across the tri-state. For every gallon pumped during the calendar year, Auxier makes
a donation to the American Breast Cancer Foundation. Donations to date total over $7,000. Auxier
created the pink propane-powered and environmentally-friendly delivery truck in Spring 2008 to
support early detection, awareness and research of breast cancer.
